Essential Requirements
- You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification
- You must have a degree (e.g. BA, BSc)
- You must have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 8
- You must have a pro-active, can do, flexible attitude to make our students and colleagues smile.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching different age groups and levels, including young learners, teenagers, and adults.
- Experience tutoring maths students especially at high school level.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to thrive in a diverse and multicultural work environment.
- Experience and a willingness to teach YLs.
- Experience and a willingness to teach IELTS and other exam candidates.
- Teachers who are nearer the beginning of their teaching career than the end, who are really keen to develop, preferably in a multicultural setting.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive English language lessons to students of various levels and ages (children, teenagers, and adults).
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the IH Bangkok course outlines and meet the needs of individual learners.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and resources to enhance student learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and student engagement.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students to track their progress.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in professional development activities offered by the school.
- Develop personalised and localised teaching resources and adding them to the shared teacher drives to increase the planning efficiency for the teaching team.
- Deliver Mathematics tutoring lessons as and when needed for 1:1 GED or SAT classes.
